This is the shiny insect you found in the closet… it’s not a caterpillar and it’s not a spider

 

What exactly is this insect?1. I named it: Ground Beetle or probably “Flour Mealworm Beetle”
From its round shape and shine, the closest thing is Tenebrio molitor which comes from flour and grain.
6 legs + sensory horns = 100% bug, walking spider or louse. The spider has 8 legs and the louse has no horns.2. Is it dangerous for you or for the food?

On the food: Iowa here’s the problem. Unless you find a unit, there are probably eggs and larvae in flour, flour, oats, cocoa, or even cat food. Everything from the closet. Anything open: flour,

semolina, rice, nuts, chocolate… smell it and stir it in. Unless you find thin threads like a spider or small moving granules = there are larvae. Plate it completely without losing. Purify with vinegar: wipe the shelves completely with water + white vinegar. The smell of vinegar kills eggs and repels insects. Dry well afterwards. Store well: From now on, buy any flour/grains and put them in a glass or plastic container. The insect does not bite the thick plastic. Information: Outdoor unit is normal. 10 inside = you have an “injury” and your own stir well. Conclusion: Do not be afraid of your health, but be afraid of your flour  It is a sign that something is crying open insect eggs. And where did you find it exactly? The flour or somewhere else?
