Is this little “bag” stuck to the wall? This isn’t dirt, this is a butterfly!

What exactly is this? It’s not eggs or dirt. This is the caterpillar of a small butterfly that has built itself a “mobile home.” 🏠 Why does it have this sac? For protection: It builds its sac from silk, dust, carpet fibers, and anything small it can find. It becomes like a small stone. For camouflage: It’s gray like a wall, so it’s never visible. Its head is down: The golden/brown part that’s visible underneath is its head and legs. When it wants to walk, it only sticks its head out and drags the sac behind it. When it senses danger, it hides completely inside the sac and closes the door. Is it dangerous or does it bite? Not at all. It doesn’t bite and doesn’t do anything to humans. It doesn’t transmit any diseases. But its problem is:
The caterpillar eats. And what does it eat? Fabrics, carpets, wool, pillow feathers, and even dead spiders. If you leave them for too long, they’ll damage your woolen clothes or carpets. Why do they come to your house? One sign: dampness + dust + spiders.

They come looking for their food. If you have a dead spider in the corners, or a dirty carpet, you’ll find them. How to get rid of them without pesticides? 3 steps: Gather them up: Take a tissue or tape and remove them from the wall. Don’t press too hard because the larvae are inside. Throw them in the toilet and run water. Clean thoroughly: Vacuum the corners and behind furniture. Cleanliness is the solution. If they don’t find food, they’ll leave. Dry the dampness: They like damp places. If you have a water leak or dampness in the corners, dry them. Open the windows to ventilate the house. When it becomes a butterfly: As it grows, it lays its cocoon in a sac, and then a small butterfly with narrow wings emerges, resembling a moth. The butterfly doesn’t eat; it only lays eggs and dies. The problem lies entirely with the larva. In short: Don’t be afraid of it; it doesn’t bite. It’s simply a sign that you need to vacuum and dry the house. If you find many of them, focus on cleaning the carpets and areas where the spider is present. Did you find many in your house, or just one? Is there humidity in your room?
